**Any Junior High or High School student interested in joining choir needs to sign up in the Music building and get an information sheet.

**Students, if you plan to enter items in the fair, you need to either see Mrs. Z or Mrs. Allen for your exhibitor number or turn your items in no later than 7:45 on October 3rd.

**Seniors that ordered a banner for the football field need to bring the $85 to Mrs. Powell’s ASAP.

Senior Dates and Senior Accomplishments for the yearbook.  Click HERE.

**Coca Cola Scholarship:  achievement-based scholarship, based on leadership, academics, and service.  Apply online at www.coca-colascholarsfoundation.org.  150 scholarships valued at $20,000 will be awarded.  Deadline to apply:  October 31, 2016.

**Voice of Democracy Program:  Students compete by writing and recording a broadcast script on an annual patriotic theme.  This year’s theme is “MY RESPONSIBILITY TO AMERICA.”This program is open to all students in grades 9-12.  Local winner:  $500 scholarship to the school of their choice; National winners:  $1000-$16,000.  See your English teacher for more information.  Deadline for entry:  November 1, 2016.

**Hagan Scholarship Foundation:  must be a 2017 graduating senior, have a 3.5GPA, 23 on the ACT, must work 240 hours in the 12 months prior to the start of each academic year of college, must fill out the FAFSA, qualify for Federal grants and demonstrate financial need.  Deadline:  November 15, 2016.



**The Louisiana Lions Summer Camp is currently recruiting high school students ages 16 and above to serve in summer staff positions.  10 $500 scholarships will be awarded at the end of camp to college and college-bound students.  Apply at www.lionscamp.org
